Global Time of Repentance - February 15th -22nd, 2021
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
- Psalm 11:3
When George Washington took the oath of office, he added, given his Godly character, “so help me, God.” Then, in his brief inaugural address, before joining members of Congress in a church service, he said: “ the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained: And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.”
Today this “sacred fire of liberty” is nearly extinguished by our vitriol and violence taking place in the United States Capitol Building. The barbed wire and soldiers exemplify the hatred and division. America is more divided than any time since the Civil War.
This is beyond politics. The nation needs a Godly healing; a return to the living God Who is the Source of this sacred fire of liberty. We know from the Bible the Source: “ Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” ~ 2 Corinthians 3:17.
As America affects other nations, we are calling other believers in Jesus Christ to join us to begin this rekindling of the sacred fire of liberty.
A Global Day of Repentance focusing on the United States Capitol has been declared for George Washington’s birthday, Monday, February 15th - 22nd, 2021. God willing, nearly 1,000 intercessors from 43 nations will join pastors and priests through out His Church in the United States, to confess our sins, to repent and ask for His Mercy to rekindle the sacred fire of liberty.
God’s solution to heal a land is found in 2 Chronicles 7:13-15: “ When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.”
The sacred fire of liberty is fragile, as seen in this Bible Truth: “ For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men—-as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.” ~ 1 Peter 2:15-16.
George Washington was human like the rest of us. We all fall short of the glory of God. The Lord will forgive us when we confess our sins. He wishes us also to repent, returning to Him, our first love.
One of President Washington’s few Presidential mistakes was in the laying of the cornerstone to the United States Capitol on September 18, 1793. As a Christian he was called to use liberty as a bondservant of God. One can not be a bondservant of the living God and believe also in freemasonry.
Having been a member of a local Masonic lodge, President Washington clearly muted the sacred fire of liberty by including Masonic rituals in the cornerstone ceremony. According to today’s Architect of the Capitol, www.aoc.gov, contemporary Masonic practice included the laying of an inscribed metal plate along with a cornerstone. The plate read: “This South East corner stone, of the Capitol of the United States of America in the City of Washington, was laid on the 18th day of September, in the thirteenth year of American Independence, in the first year of the second term of the Presidency of George Washington, whose virtues in the civil administration of his country have been as conspicuous and beneficial, as his Military valor and prudence have been useful in establishing her liberties, and in the year of Masonry 5793, by the Grand Lodge of Maryland, several lodges under its jurisdiction, and Lodge 22, from Alexandria, Virginia.” According to the Architect of the Capitol: “ The plate was handed to Washington, who stepped down into the foundation trench, laid the plate on the ground, and lowered the cornerstone onto it. With the president were Joseph Clark and three "worshipful masters" bearing the corn, wine, and oil used to consecrate the stone. Chanting accompanied Washington’s ascent from the trench. Clark gave a speech punctuated by numerous volleys from the artillery. Following the formal exercises, a 500 pound ox was barbequed and those in attendance "generally partook, with every abundance of other recreation.”
The Masonic plate was laid BEFORE the cornerstone!
This anti-Christian Capitol cornerstone ceremony was in sharp contrast to the President’s first Inaugural words. It was directly contrary to the Christian church service thereafter, giving thanks to the Living God.
Today, two hundred twenty years later, it is clearly time to confess this sin in the Capitol’s literal and spiritual foundation. Other anti-Christ spirits have used this spiritual opening. Those demonic spirits are roaring in the corridors of Congress today.

“ They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable. I said, ‘You are gods. And all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.’ Arise, O God, judge the earth. For You shall inherit all nations.” ~Psalm 82: 5-8
“ For our transgressions and multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us. For our transgressions are with us, And as for our iniquities, we know them: In transgressing and lying against the LORD, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.” ~Isaiah 59:12-15
This curse over the nation needs to be broken!! Evil needs to be exposed.

Prayer Targets for the Global Time of Repentance
Monday, February 15 - Monday, February 22, 2021
Nehemiah 1: 5-7 "And I said, 'I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments, please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father's house and I have sinned. We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses."
Matthew 21: 42 "Jesus said to them, 'Have you not read in the Scriptures: 'The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?"
Section One: Repentance for the Laying of the Cornerstone, Honoring a False God
(For this section, please refer to the essay on how President Washington laid the cornerstone of the Capitol Building, obeying the rites of Free Masonry, on September 18, 1793.)
1. Lord God, we thank You that this hidden history has now been exposed. By means of Your precious Blood, we ask You to forgive this national act of sin and abomination, which occurred at the very founding of the United States’ Capitol. We believe, according to Your Word, that President Washington and others who were gathered with him at that time, "knew not what they did." (Luke 23:34) Amen.
2. And now, together, we lay axe to the root of this iniquity, pulling it out of the ground where it has lain for these many years.
" The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire." (Luke 3:9)
3. And finally, we fill that space in the ground, in the Spirit, with Your cleansing Blood, both to secure that land and that seven worse not enter in, in its place. (Matthew 12:43-45)
4. Lord God, we also sever the cords of the wicked, to this point in time, defusing the level of anger and acts of the flesh that are now rampant on Capitol Hill. Amen.
"But the LORD is righteous; he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked." (Psalm 129:4)
5. REJOICE THAT THIS ACTION HAS NOW BEEN TAKEN, SO THAT CAPITOL HILL WILL ENJOY A "NEW BEGINNING" IN THE SPIRIT, FREE FROM ALL ORIGINAL ACTS OF DEFILEMENT!
Section Two: 1793 to the present time: the growth of "Potomac Fever"
Over the years, as Congress took its final position meeting on Capitol Hill, a strange "virus" began to take hold of its members. This "virus" is called: POTOMAC FEVER. Unless a new member of the House or the Senate is sworn in, walking in strong Christian faith and the knowledge of the Scriptures, he (and nowadays, "she') is prone to be attacked by, and to succumb to, a case of "Potomac Fever." Potomac Fever is simply defined as the lusting after the three "P's" - power, prestige and position. Satan convinces the unwitting victim that, if he or she desires to wield POWER, PRESTIGE AND POSITION on the Hill, that member must succumb to the idolatry of chasing after one, two or all three of these "demons" while in office! Potomac Fever can be lethal; killing the very soul of the one who, at first, desired only to serve our nation in Congress. The antidote to these three idols is REPENTANCE, followed by the Word of God.
Let us pray:
"Father God, for those who have found themselves (over these many years) weakened and crippled by Potomac Fever, we speak forgiveness. We ask that each one now living be humbled by Your Mighty Hand, and become willing to REPENT of their wicked ways as they govern our people on Capitol Hill. For POWER, we decree:
But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said, “I will be with you..." - (Exodus 3:11-12a)
For PRESTIGE, we decree:
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)
For POSITION, we decree:
"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." - (Genesis 1:27)
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.
Section Three: CAPITOL HILL TODAY
As we view the news today coming from Capitol Hill, it is easy for us to sink into a pit of hopelessness, and of throwing stones at the many wicked who currently serve in Congress. The level of vitriolic hatred that is spewing forth from their mouths, both on the floors of the House and of the Senate; as well as within the various Committee meetings, is beyond distressing. Where is our hope, we ask? Our hope is in the Lord. Amen.
Let's agree together on these points of repentance, renewal and cleansing today on Capitol Hill.
a. We remember: this move of restoration must begin with US.
"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (I Peter 4:17)
b. As we seek His face in repentance, on behalf of those who are still lost, Abba promises to bring healing to our land.
". . . if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
c. As He does so, we pray for the lost, that they the scales will fall off their eyes, and they will see the light!
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." (I John 1:7)
Summary:
The prayer points we have offered, leading to repentance for the personal and the national sin that now runs rampant on Capitol Hill, is just a beginning. As you "delve" into your own prayer closets, we are certain that our Heavenly Father will reveal much, much more to you during this Global Time of Repentance on Capitol Hill. And in the end, in His time, may all captives be set free, and may we function once again as "one nation, under God, INDIVISIBLE, with liberty and justice for all.' Amen!
