Godly Roots for Connecticut

While Connecticut was first explored by the Dutch, who founded trading posts, the first permanent settlements were made by English Puritans from Massachusetts, starting in 1633.

From the first, Connecticut enjoyed a great measure of political independence, proclaiming in its Fundamental Orders of 1639 a democratic principle of government based on the will of the people. These Fundamental Orders are said to have been the first written Constitution of a democratic government; that’s why Connecticut today is nicknamed "The Constitution State."

Agriculture and trade were primary activities of 17th century colonists, but because of limited land Connecticut people quickly turned to manufacturing.

During the American Revolution, Connecticut gave freely of her blood and wealth. Her soldiers were on the battle line from Quebec to Carolina. It was General Israel Putnam at the battle of Bunker Hill who cried: "Don’t fire until you see the whites of their eyes!" Patriot-spy Nathan Hale, as he was about to be hanged by the British, said: "I regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."

To George Washington, Connecticut was "The Provision State" because of supplies contributed to his army by Gov. Jonathan Trumbull - the only Colonial governor, incidentally, to support the cause of America’s independence from Great Britain.

Thomas Hooker (July 5, 1586 – July 7, 1647) founded the Connecticut Colony after a disagreement with the church leadership in Massachusetts. He was key in the development of the new colony including inspiring the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut. He argued for a wider number of individuals being given the right to vote. In addition, he believed in freedom of religion for those who believed in the Christian faith. Finally, his descendants included many individuals who played key roles in the development of Connecticut.

Early Life

Thomas Hooker was born in Leicestershire England, most probably in either Marefield or Birstall, He attended school at Market Bosworth before entering Queen’s College at Cambridge in 1604. He earned his Bachelor’s degree before moving to Emmanuel College where he earned his Master’s. It was at university that Hooker converted to the Puritan faith.

Immigrated to Massachusetts Bay Colony

From college, Hooker became a preacher. He was known for his speaking abilities along with his ability to help his parishioners. He eventually moved to St Mary’s, Chelmsford as a preacher in 1626. However, he soon retired after being suppressed as a leader of Puritan sympathizers. When he was called to court to defend himself, he fled to the Netherlands. Many Puritans were following this path, as they were able to freely practice their religion there. From there, he decided to immigrate to the Massachusetts Bay Colony, arriving aboard the ship called the Griffin on September 3, 1633. This ship would carry Anne Hutchinson to the New World a year later.

Hooker settled in Newtown, Massachusetts. This would later be renamed as Cambridge. He was appointed as pastor of “The Church of Christ at Cambridge,” becoming the first minister of the town.

Founding Connecticut

Hooker soon found himself at odds with another pastor named John Cotton because, in order to vote in the colony, a man had to be examined for their religious beliefs. This effectively suppressed Puritans from voting if their beliefs were in opposition to the majority religion. Therefore, in 1636, Hooker and Reverend Samuel Stone led a group of settlers to form Hartford in the soon to be formed Connecticut Colony. The Massachusetts General Court had granted them the right to set up three towns: Windsor, Wethersfield, and Hartford. The title of the colony was actually named after the Connecticut River, a name that came from the Algonquian language meaning long, tidal river.

Fundamental Orders of Connecticut

In May 1638, a General Court met to write a written constitution. Hooker was politically active at this time and preached a sermon that basically espoused the idea of the Social Contract, stating that authority was only granted with the people’s consent. The Fundamental Orders of Connecticut were ratified on January 14, 1639. This would be the first written constitution in America and a foundation for future founding documents including the US Constitution. The document included greater voting rights for individuals. It also included oaths of office which the governor and magistrates were required to take. Both of these oaths included lines that said they would agree to “…promote the public good and peace of the same, according to the best of my skill; as also will maintain all lawful privileges of this Commonwealth: as also that all wholesome laws that are or shall be made by lawful authority here established, be duly executed; and will further the execution of Justice according to the rule of Gods word…”

In 1662, King Charles II signed a Royal Charter combining the Connecticut and New Haven Colonies which basically agreed to the Orders as the political system to be adopted by the colony.

Death and Significance

Hooker died at the age of 61 in 1647 in Connecticut. It is unknown his exact burial place though he is believed to be buried in Hartford.

He was quite significant as a figure in America’s past. First, he was a strong proponent of not requiring religious tests to allow for voting rights. In fact, he argued for religious tolerance, at least towards those of the Christian faith. He was also a strong proponent of the ideas behind the social contract and the belief that the people formed the government and it must answer to them. In terms of his religious beliefs, he did not necessarily believe that God’s grace was free. Instead, he felt that individuals had to earn it through avoiding sin. In this way, he argued, individuals prepared themselves for heaven.

He was a well-known speaker who wrote a number of books on theological subjects. These included The Covenant of Grace Opened, The Poor Doubting Christian Drawn to Christ in 1629, and A Survey Of The Summe Of Church-Discipline: Wherein The Way Of The Churches Of New England Is Warranted Out Of The Word in 1648.

Established in 1636

Connecticut, constituent state of the United States of America, was one of the original 13 states and is one of the six New England states, and is located in the northeastern corner of the country

The Connecticut Colony or Colony of Connecticut, originally known as the Connecticut River Colony or simply the River Colony, was an English colony in New England which later became Connecticut. It was organized on March 3, 1636 as a settlement for a Puritan congregation, and the English permanently gained control of the region in 1637 after struggles with the Dutch.

The colony was later the scene of a bloody war between the colonists and Pequot Indians known as the Pequot War. Connecticut Colony played a significant role in the establishment of self-government in the New World with its refusal to surrender local authority to the Dominion of New England, an event known as the Charter Oak incident which occurred at Jeremy Adams' inn and tavern.

Two other English settlements in the State of Connecticut were merged into the Colony of Connecticut: Saybrook Colony in 1644 and New Haven Colony in 1662.

Motto "Qui Transtulit Sustinet", Latin for "He who transplanted sustains"

History

Governor John Haynes of the Massachusetts Bay Colony led 100 people to Hartford in 1636. He and Puritan minister Thomas Hooker are often considered the founders of the Connecticut colony. Hooker delivered a sermon to his congregation on May 31, 1638, on the principles of government, and it influenced those who wrote the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut later that year. The Fundamental Orders may have been drafted by Roger Ludlow of Windsor, the only trained lawyer living in Connecticut in the 1630s; they were transcribed into the official record by secretary Thomas Welles. The Reverend John Davenport and merchant Theophilus Eaton led the founders of the New Haven Colony, which was absorbed into Connecticut Colony in the 1660s.

In the colony's early years, the governor could not serve consecutive terms, so the governorship rotated for 20 years between John Haynes and Edward Hopkins, both of whom were from Hartford. George Wyllys, Thomas Welles, and John Webster, also Hartford men, sat in the governor's chair for brief periods in the 1640s and 1650s.

John Winthrop the Younger of New London was the son of the founder of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, and he played an important role in consolidating separate settlements into a single colony on the Connecticut River. He also served as Governor of Connecticut from 1659 to 1675, and he was instrumental in obtaining the colony's 1662 charter which incorporated New Haven into Connecticut. His son Fitz-John Winthrop also governed the colony for 10 years starting in 1698.

Major John Mason was the military leader of the early colony. He was the commander in the Pequot War, a magistrate, and the founder of Windsor, Saybrook, and Norwich. He was also Deputy Governor under Winthrop. Roger Ludlow was an Oxford-educated lawyer and former Deputy Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. He petitioned the General Court for rights to settle the area, and he led the March Commission in settling disputes over land rights. He is credited as drafting the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut (1650) in collaboration with Hooker, Winthrop, and others. He was also the first Deputy Governor of Connecticut.

William Leete of Guilford served as governor of New Haven Colony before its merger into Connecticut, and he also served as governor of Connecticut following Winthrop's death in 1675. He is the only man to serve as governor of both New Haven and Connecticut. Robert Treat of Milford served as governor of the colony, both before and after its inclusion in the Dominion of New England under Sir Edmund Andros. His father Richard Treat was one of the original patentees of the colony. Roger Wolcott was a weaver, statesman, and politician from Windsor, and he served as governor from 1751 to 1754. Oliver Wolcott was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and also of the Articles of Confederation, as a representative of Connecticut and the nineteenth governor. He was a major general for the Connecticut Militia in the Revolutionary War serving under George Washington.

Connecticut ranks 48th among the 50 U.S. states in terms of total area but is among the most densely populated. Lying in the midst of the great urban-industrial complex along the Atlantic coast, it borders Massachusetts to the north, Rhode Island to the east, Long Island Sound (an arm of the Atlantic Ocean) to the south, and New York to the west.

Hartford, in the north-central part of the state, is the capital.

The state is roughly rectangular in shape, with a panhandle of Fairfield county extending to the southwest on the New York border. The state’s greatest east-west length is about 110 miles (180 km), and its maximum north-south extent is about 70 miles (110 km). Connecticut takes its name from an Algonquian word meaning “land on the long tidal river.” “Nutmeg State,” “Constitution State,” and “Land of Steady Habits” are all sobriquets that have been applied to Connecticut.

Connecticut is called the provision/resource state due to its shipping, gun and military manufacturing industries from the American Revolution to today including the Navy nuclear submarine base, Coast Guard Academy, Electric boat that builds submarines, Sikorsky Helicopter, United Technologies (aircraft), and underwater research labs. Hartford, the capital of Connecticut is also known as the insurance industry capital of the world. Western Connecticut is known as the hedge fund capital.

It’s Time..!!

God is in charge of all nations

If His people, called by His name, will humble themselves and pray and seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, He will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If we renounce sins and turn towards His purity He may relent from a judgment we deserve. He will not forsake His inheritance.

Godly roots were planted many generations ago in what is now the United States, watered by blood, prayers, fasting and repentance. Hundreds of “Days of Humiliation” prompted the Lord to continue to pour out His blessings to plant and send forth the Liberty Jesus Christ gave all humans.

But the nation has significantly turned from God. We do not “remember His powerPsalm 78:42. We have behaved as if we can govern out of our own strength, forgetting that “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.Psalm 127:1.

In God's perfect timing, the Liberty given by Jesus Christ through His Blood, and confirmed in His Word, was planted in the 13 colonies then ruled by Great Britain. Men and women filled with His Holy Spirit discerned a unique call on their lives to bring forth that Liberty as a God-given gift for all men everywhere.

Having experienced God’s Liberty through Christ and His Holy Spirit these passionate founders could no longer stand the ongoing tyranny of a monarch. Patrick Henry, bold for Christ in public, said it best: “Give me Liberty or give me death.”

John Adams’ boldness for Christ came from his love of the Bible and his understanding of spiritual warfare. In 1777, a year after the Declaration of Independence, a gathering of the founders was held again in Philadelphia at great risk. Philadelphia was about to be invaded; Washington’s troops were losing battles; the far superior British troops seemed invincible. One local delegate asked John Adams: “Sir, how can we possibly defeat the British given their skill and their size?” Adams replied

“We will defeat them----- if we fear God and repent of our sins.”

As a witness to His impact in their lives, and as a way to open the heavens to bring about the miracles they needed, many honored Jesus publicly. “We have no King but Jesus” was a common statement.

Thirteen days of repentance are now proposed whereby today's citizens in those thirteen colonies on a given day can discover the blessings God planted in their colony, confess how far current laws and pracntices deviate from those Godly roots, and then repent, turning personally and as a State-wide community for those sins, calling on His Forgiveness and Mercy.

Prayer intercessors from other States and Nations will be invited to join on each day of repentance.

As to each colony the question is : What did God plant?

And then, how have we deviated from those Godly roots?

And will you then confess any sin personally, for your family, for your State?

Finally, all will be encouraged humbly to repent, to replace worldly, wicked ways with His path, by His Word, to His purity.

God willing, the One Who planted Liberty in each colony, and Who has a purpose for the citizens in that current State, will hear from heaven, forgive sin, and heal the land.

Dream Impartation & Vision Encounter: Revival Prophecy Mantle, Thames River, New London/Groton
Date:  Sat am, Jan 24, 2015

I am standing in water ankle deep at the edge of the mouth of a river.  Suddenly I am taken up into a by the Spirit of the Lord into a whirlwind in a heavenly place. I am feeling mantles being placed on and around me on my shoulder. Then, I am looking down from above and am seeing this mantle being put over two other mantles that are on me.  This outside one I am seeing is a whirlwind swirling broad mantle of big wide billowing moving streams of multicolored lights of white gold yellow orange flaming red colors moving around me from my shoulders on an angle down to my hips.  The fast whirlwind swirling motion was what kept the steaming lights together as a mantle. It was like a fat wide streaming lights living hula hoop.  I heard audibly and understood it was the revival prophecy mantle.  Under it were two other mantles; one was white representing purity, the bride, the other was like a light brown/tan monk type mantle that symbolized humility.   Then I was beckoned by an angel, young man,  and another young man to go to this other room. I follow him to this door.  As I entered and went through the door I was immediately catapulted into another dimension.  It was a panoramic vision.

In this panoramic vision in the dream I was seeing up above me in heaven a beautiful large clipper ship with all the multiple sails full of wind, then as I moved my eyes to the right I was seeing in heaven a light grey war ship, like a destroyer.  Again I looked to my right still up in heaven and was seeing a grey air craft carrior.  I kept looking moving my eyes to the right again and saw a black hawk helicopter.  These  4 war ships/helicopter in heaven represented ships used during the American Revolution & the War of 1812 ((frigates/clipper sailing ships), WWI (destroyer), WWII (air craft carrier) and black hawk helicopter (latest wars).  Each of the war ships had black pvc type/size piping hanging from the bottom other ships.  Then I turned eyes to look back at the beautiful clipper sailing vessels.  To my surprise I saw that the ship was now sitting on the water.

Interpretation Notes: I went back in the Spirit to the beginning of the dream where I was standing ankle deep on the edge of the water looking again at what I had seen in the dream. I had seen in the dream the horizon line across the large mouth of the river or harbor. I saw on the opposite bank looking east a single gas/oil tank and a two or three story office building. I then physically went to where I thought I had been standing in the dream to confirm the location. I was pretty sure it was the Thames River between New London and Groton. Indeed when there I could see the white gas/oil tank and office building. The prophecy revival mantle came down over the mantles of humility, purity/holiness. The saints needed the attributes of purity, holiness and humility before the Lord would pour out revival. The mantle of revival prophesy is hovering in a whirlwind over the Thames River, New London and Groton area waiting for the church to mature into holiness, purity and humility. Note that this revival will include prophecy. This is new. The war ships are symbolizing two things. 1) war and 2) the history of CT as a parallel to revival, awakening fire. The First Great Awakening swept through the colonies between the 1730’s and 1770’s. The largest areas of this revival was in the New London/Groton area, southeast CT and up the banks of the CT River. This revival brought boldness and Godly thinking of freedom and truth necessary for the American Revolution. Just as the war ships and helicopters were designed, developed and built here in CT and are part of the history of CT, so also revival, awakening and harvest are part of the history of CT. The deposit of revival and awakening is in the land. The war ships were designs first in a person’s mind. Inventions. Put there by the Lord in the creative process of the Spirit of the Lord. Just as the Lord gave Moses the pattern of the Tabernacle of Moses, he also gave the designers patterns for these war ships. They were in heaven prior to being here on earth. Man needed to build what they saw created in the Spirit realm first. Likewise with revival and awakening. It becomes a history of that place. There have been several outbreaks of the beginning of revival and awakening here in CT over the past 20 years. They fizzled out. Man tried like in the past to control it. This confirms so many of the revival awakening dreams and vision so many of us and the prophets have spoken over CT and parts of NE. Yea God. WE have been calling forth revival, awakening and harvest for 17 years now.

Released at Gateway Christian Fellowship, West Haven, CT

So I believe my first stop, I knew all along, based upon what God showed me on at the end of May 2008, the first place God would bring me in New England, these cluster of states over here   would be CT because of the greater dimension of Light that was in the state.  That doesn’t mean it is a better state than MA.   Because you all have had NE covenant roots.  But it is a different war.

Therefore because of the apostolic structure going on here it is easier for me to give a prophetic scenario. First apostles, second prophets.  See.  So I always look for that as I advance into a season.  Now what is a covenant state? … This is just the beginning of a new season people. Now hear me.  You can’t lose strength after today. You have to keep moving and you have to keep Pastor, the pastors here – Gateway is a Freedom Outpost – have to keep saying we have to keep our part.

States that welcomed Jews, or recognized Israel’s role in the earth.

They are ones who has determined to reconcile land issues with the First Nations people of the land…. of course it is always over money, our trade. All iniquity goes back to trade…. Satan was cast out of heaven because of his iniquity in trading.  So you’re always going to see him manifesting in trade structure.  That’s part of the Leviathan system….. somewhere an altar of worship has been established, not church, but where worship is beginning to move forward…. you are in a worship mode that creates a different atmosphere and because of the Presence of God, Dagon falls and his head breaks off.  See. See that’s how true warfare works.

It’s where Holy Spirit has been welcomed and free to move.

It’s one where apostolic leadership recognizes and wars with prophetic revelation.

I mean the ites belonged under promise rule. That whole Book of Joshua is about the transference of wealth. That’s what it is about.  They had been amassing wealth for 10 generations and God sent them in and said this is how I will shift it under kingdom rule.  So we’re headed into this sort of war.  Now this is how I’ve tried to create the picture of how God showed me a state.  Because it was so key. This state was an ancient gate. Now let me just describe it; I don’t have to understand it. You don’t have to get it right off.  But you can get it.  This land for some reason becomes an ancient gate to this nation.  It was one of the most ancient gates in this nation.  That took me to the Ancient of Days as I have prayed for you.  That means in this ancient gate here, the Ancient of Days is waiting to re seat the government of this state.  Now hear me.  Waiting to re seat the government of this state, this state will be if you go to the places God gives you…  Now see if we can show those freedom outposts the way they were positioned.  John see if you can bring them up there come up and begin to be seen.  There were freedom outposts in various places in this state.  (Power point map of CT was displayed on the overhead.  The following cities had circle of white around red on map indicating that these cities were freedom outposts:  Bridgeport, New Haven, New London, Middletown, Hartford, Waterbury, Torrington and Vernon.)  They were key. I don’t know anything much about your state, but I do know what I saw.  And it was a good network of freedom outposts in this state.  One like OK had the greatest amount of freedom outposts of any state that I saw, but in the midst of it, this had a great concentration.  Now those places are also key places where you want to see God’s Presence established.  YALE is an important place; I mean a very important place (presidents, leaders come out of Yale) for the future of this nation.  KEY place for the future of this nation. And, so what you begin to see here is there’s a way now that God says how the gates of this state have been  ruled in one way  I am going to shift that.  That means there is a, next time we come we will do a whole things on gates, so you understand it.  A gate place is important for the whole.  It’s an entry way in, it’s an entry way of moving.  Therefore there is, it’s almost like above CT the gate of heaven someway is aligning   … get ready for there is a divine alignment going on above this state.  It’s causing a   seat of judgment of God to where he’s seating.  He is getting His rule seated above you and all of a sudden when you come into agreement with that rule it begins to manifest here in this state.  This state will be one who casts a deciding vote on the way this nation goes and it will cast a deciding vote for good.  Now hear me.  Therefore our role is not to just protect freedom outposts but to encourage them that they will rise up.  That they will become fiery.  That they will form the way God wants them formed for this season ahead. So that in this case a whole nation will be affected by the way CT makes a shift.  So it becomes very, very important that we   continue to transition, continue the transition, and continue transitioning into the glory here.

Thank you Lord that CT is in your hand. We thank you Lord that you are shifting the rule at the gate of CT.  We thank you that there will be an unusual covenant alignment with the rule from CT that is linked into the alignment we have with Israel.  Now hear this while you’re praying, God said, that was why He sent me to Israel during election time. He didn’t send me to the US in October of last year.  He sent me to Israel   you stay here until have seen that Israel has shifted so that now I can    allow nations to make their choice of how they align.  Lord we say right now to this ancient gate, we ask that you begin clear the portal out above this state.  We ask, we ask for the   angelic rule.  We ask past worship alignment from this state to be rekindled in a new way. We ask for new forms of worship to form in this state.  And the Lord said if you will concentrate on the   rivers in this state and the freedom alongside the rivers. I say to you I will cause the    river of My Spirit to rise and overtake this land.  And I say to New England in this season of seeing I am watching you.  I am watching the way you are responding. I am watching the way that you’re looking and I say I’m looking again at you. And because I’m looking at you I say from state to state to state look up at me in a new way.

What seems to have had no combination to it in the past season? I say the combination and the clicking of locks of NE will now go into process saith the Lord. I say heaven will invade. Heaven will invade. Heaven will invade. And I say to you court systems will be surprised. For I can uncover rule that can overthrow rule. So I say to you now because of this gathering there is a rule of measure that is now changing in this region. Ready yourself, ready yourself, ready yourself for there will be an unlocking of gates beginning with this gate and heaven will come down. And I say to the border of NH the darkness that is encased on that border; I say to you, you will not have rule over this land. Now let’s just invite the glory in. Let’s sing, let’s worship. Let’s invite the glory in. Ask Him to show you your light. Ask Him to show you the land. Ask Him to show you the change. Ask Him to show you the gates that are beginning to open. Ask Him to show you again the move of God in this land.

Restoring Godly Roots in our 13 Colonies

Godly roots were planted in the original 13 colonies in the USA. A project to restore them using God's solution in the Bible begins in the first colony, Virginia, on February 1.

On February 1, 2022 a day of repentance will take place in Virginia. Individuals in Virginia, and throughout the USA, and in 47 nations, will take time, in prayer, fasting and humble repentance that day, confessing our personal and national sins, and acknowledging our firm dependence upon the Living God.

God gives His solution to heal a land in 2 Chronicles 7:14: " if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. "

Twelve additional days of repentance, focusing on each colony, will then take place on the first of each month, ending with the last established colony, Georgia, on February 1, 2023.

The next day of repentance will focus on Connecticut on May 1, 2022.

Resources to hold a repentance service in a church or small group are available on the website: www.globalrepent.com

Building on a national and International Day of Repentance held on December 1, 2021 which focused on abortion, joined by 70 Christian ministries, the project seeks to continue this momentum for national repentance. According to Christian historians, This Godly solution to heal a land has been used over 800 times in our history; it's time to use it again.

A two hour zoom call will be held on May 1 @ 1pm EST. Please email us at the email below for information. Members of Congress, and local politicians have been invited to participate. But in keeping with scripture, the main emphasis is on individual repentance, one on One, with Him that day.

Please note: As we continue our "march through the colonies," focusing on acts of repentance for each one throughout this year and into the next, we welcome your own thoughts and research for each one, identifying needs for repentance in each colony. Thank you for contacting us at the address below.

Prayer Points

Pray that many will heed the move of the Holy Spirit to confess that:

  • We have not placed the Living God first in our lives

  • We have not fully protected the most vulnerable, including children in the womb

  • We have created idols, including pride in ourselves, our agendas, our families, our financial status

  • We have sanctioned sexual perversions, instead of seeing them in His eyes as sinful and capable of being removed by the Holy Spirit

  • We have failed to follow His destiny for citizens of our State to act as His city set on a hill, a light to the world.

  1. Pray that having confessed these personal and collective sins, many will also repent so that He will hear from heaven, forgive sins and heal our land.

  2. Pray that intercessors from many nations will join in this Day and in future Days of Repentance, repenting themselves, and then praying as the Holy Spirit directs

Cruelties and Killings that Muted / Blocked

The Godly Roots

From the viewpoint of the Native Americans the following eventually took place:

  • Innocent bloodshed upon the land

  • Stealing of land

  • Breaking of covenants with the tribes

  • Removing the ancient landmarks

  • Slavery

  • Doing it all in the Name of God !

  • Oppression

  • Political agendas to control, build and possess the wealth of the land while keeping it from others

  • Racism

  • Establishing free masonry in the government and economic systems

  • Sacrificing babies to the spirit of death

  • Establishing idols in the land and worshiping them

  • Allowing foreign gods, false religions into our land

  • Selfishness, humanism, individualism

One on One---a basic approach to repentance

Spend time alone with the Lord. He loves you. He created you. He knew you in your mother's womb and even at the beginning of His creation.

Thanks to the work of His Son, Jesus/ Yeshua, all the sins of mankind have been covered by Jesus' blood and His victory.

Now the invitation is to come into His Kingdom through repentance, changing your thinking, dying to your old ways, and believing in Jesus, the risen Christ, as the Lord of your life.

His Holy Spirit then will be in you, to give you a new life purpose and eternal life with Him.

Now that you're in His Kingdom, He calls each of us to cleanse, to purify, to get ready as His Bride for His soon return as our Bridegroom. There's no guilt; no condemnation; He loves you and wants all of us to be Overcomers of our old sin patterns, to be able to have the privilege " to sit beside Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down beside My Father on His throne." (Revelation 3:19-21).

Steps to repent, one on One:

  1. Come in to the Kingdom through repentance---Matthew 4:17

  2. Now that you're in the Kingdom, you have the Holy Spirit

  3. Invite the Risen Christ to dine with you Revelation 3:20

  4. Praise Him, honor the King of kings

  5. Ask Him which old sin pattern He suggests you look at

  6. Receive His Wisdom and consider confessing that sin

  7. Confess the sin

  8. Receive His forgiveness

  9. Consider removing that sin pattern forever through your free will decision to repent, turning to Him instead

  10. Repent

  11. Replace that sin pattern with one of His Words as your new direction

  12. Experience His Joy which will now never leave you as your new strength--and witness to others; you're bearing Holy Spirit fruit worthy of His gift of repentance!
