A California Day of Repentance

Sunday, October 11, 2020

  • A series of Sacred Assemblies in His churches and in our prayer closets

  • Repentance service at the State Capitol 3PM

  • A call for us truly to repent, God’s Solution to the pestilence and fires He has allowed, so that He can heal our Golden State

Over 8,000 California fires just in the year 2020. Over 5 million acres burned. And the season isn't over.

God's Solution to heal a land: "Spiritual fire"--by thousands of California Christians.

"Spiritual fire" means a believer in Christ "on fire"--zealous to cleanse from old sins, turning away from the world's ways to God's Way, ready to love neighbors, telling them that Christ is real and gives hope for their lives.

How does one cleanse from old sins and get zealous for Christ? REPENTANCE

This Sunday, October 11, at 3 PM on the West side of the State Capitol in Sacramento, National Day of Repentance will hold a 90 minute California Day of Repentance service. No cost. Social distancing; Wear a mask.

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land."

We were stirred by The Return and Franklin Graham's Prayer Walk. It's time to put repentance into practice.

Allowing time for each participant to repent from specific personal or State-wide sins, such as idolatry or pride, this California Day of Repentance service will begin to use God's Solution to put out the fires by putting repentance into practice.

Please join us.

FACTS ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES

Devastating and destructive wildfires continue to spread across California, Washington and Oregon at an alarming rate. The 2020 West Coast wildfires have burned millions of acres, caused multiple casualties, destroyed thousands of homes and other structures, and have displaced thousands who are under mandatory evacuation orders.  In addition, extremely low air quality permeates the West Coast and poses a significant danger to those in vulnerable health categories.

How large are the California wildfires?

Since the beginning of 2020, wildfires have burned more than 3.2 million acres in California, an area roughly the same size as Connecticut

How do the 2020 California wildfires compare to previous years?

Millions of acres of land have burned as a result of dozens of wildfires in 2020.  More than 3.2 million acres in California alone have gone up in flames so far this year. That number greatly surpasses the state’s 2018 record of more than 1.9 million acres.

How has COVID-19 impacted the wildfire response?

COVID-19 has impacted the wildfire response through a shortage of N-95 masks that protect against smoke inhalation. Health officials warn that the symptoms of COVID-19 can be worsened by inhaling wildfire smoke.
