9/11 - TWENTY YEARS LATER - A CALL TO GLOBAL REPENTANCE
(Also honoring the Ten Days of Awe . . .)

Twenty years ago, on 9/11, God opened a wide door of opportunity for all of us to be on our faces in deep repentance, seeking the mercy of God and asking for a cleansing in our own lives. For a few brief weeks, all of the church in America responded in kind. It was Abba's desire that we remain in this position before Him continually, crying out in repentance for the sins of our nation and preparing the way for His soon coming. Sadly, this did not happen.

Instead, after a few short weeks, many of us returned to our "old ways," following the ways of the world and ignoring the mandates to live holy lives, according to the Scriptures, before our Most High God.

In addition, as we then moved our troops INTO the nation of Afghanistan, launching the war on terror, a wide door was opened unto us, ushering us into that movement of REPENTANCE . . . which we have now left behind.

And now, twenty years later, as we have WITHDRAWN our troops from Afghanistan, this door of opportunity for true repentance is now closing, and only the judgment of the Most High God now awaits us.

The LORD has allowed us these TWENTY YEARS to "get right" with Him, until now, we have been weighed in the balance, and found wanting. The DOOR THAT WAS OPENED for NATIONAL REPENTANCE on 9/11/2000 has now been SHUT!

Please join us now in offering these prayer points for a GLOBAL DAY OF REPENTANCE on 9/11:

1. Pray that a spiritual awakening would take place globally on 9/11, twenty years after that horrific tragedy took place in our nation.

2. Pray that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, millions of eyes would see, millions of ears would hear, millions of hearts would open in every nation to the need for personal and national repentance, to turn from our wicked ways, honoring Christ alone in our nations.

3. Pray that divisions in the Body of Christ would be healed as the obvious wickedness of the enemy drives us to a unity we have never before experienced.

4. Pray that the Lord would relent from the judgment each nation deserves as He sees us humble ourselves, pray, seek His face and turn from our wicked ways

" Therefore tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the LORD Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the LORD Almighty." (Zechariah 1:3)
