Chapter 2

Time Journal:

Ask Yourself:

  • Are there things on the list that are inconsistent with a godly life?

  • Are there items that do not add real value to your life?

  • Of the 168 hours in a week, do you spend any time with God??

Chapter 3

The Impact Of Others On You:

If there is any doubt about the impact of other people in our lives, be the one-eyed person in the land of the blind. Look afresh and discern the impact of others on us. Turn away from the world and back to God.

Exercise

Answer these questions:

  1. What have you done that others made you do?

  2. What did you go along with that made you feel bad?

  3. What will you do differently today to get a different outcome tomorrow?

Chapter 4

Choose Him. Open your heart to God. Do it now.

Do not allow preconceived notions and expectations of God’s will to mislead you. God does not answer all prayers, just as parents do not give their children everything they request. Do not expect the lottery-winner culture that pervades society to bail you out of problems. In humility, join His kingdom through repentance. Seek God and ask His forgiveness. Everyone who does this, steps onto the road to salvation. It is not too late to do so. Choose Him. Open your heart to God. Do it now.

Help me to know Your truth. I know it is bigger and better than what I can see. Please help me to escape the limits of what I see now.

Thank You for guiding me as I read Your Bible.

Chapter 5

Read The Entire Bible in One Year

Chronological Reading Plan

We recommend a chronological reading of the Bible. This helps put events into context and grasp the flow of the narrative.

Since the books of the Bible are not entirely in chronological order and some portions provide overlapping accounts and duplication, a chronological Bible best captures the historical flow of the various writings.

Because of the complexity of placing Scripture in historical order, find attached below an approximate chronological reading plan. It puts the books of the Bible in order. It is accessible and easy to use.

View this PDF file for more information or print the chronological Bible reading plan, new and updated.

Chapter 7

Once we see the truth that He loves each of us,

we will never be the same again.

EXERCISE

Start by writing it down. While this applies to anything, start with the big question. Do I believe in God? Forget all the things from everyone else and answer that one question.

This simple first step before any other will set the stage for everything else. It is important to reflect on specific life experiences using the choices map as you read the Bible.

This is one of those rare times that using the internet as a tool to help you will work. Search the internet using a question like: Is (insert your issue) prohibited by the Bible?

Using the example for alcohol, search “Is drinking alcohol prohibited by the Bible?

Use the recommended Bible passages from that search to read what the Bible says.

With a firm understanding of the past, decide how the future should look. If that future goes to heaven, commit to doing what is necessary to get there.

Perform this exercise alone. Do not rely on others. Ask God for guidance and listen for His answer.
