A Global Day of Repentance:  April 30, 2023

As the Lord continues to shake all that can be shaken in all nations, many are sensing the need to get ready for His soon coming.

The word says in Ephesians 5:27 that the Lord, having loved the church and given Himself for her, has sanctified and cleansed her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

We see that we are called to remove old sin patterns, to purify, to become more holy as He is holy, "perfecting holiness in the fear of God."  (2 Corinthians 7:1).  " Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure."  (1 John 3:3).

With this promise of the Lord Jesus' return for a glorious church, and having received the indwelling Holy Spirit, each of us is now by His love, a temple of the living God.

We, as His Bride, can join together to be cleansed from the world and the flesh.   Global days of repentance are a powerful way to join together to bring forth the cleansing of the Bride.

We can each have a special "walk" with our Teacher, the Holy Spirit, and at the same time experience the JOY of pursuing His holiness with others in many nations.  We expect to experience His love, His joy, His peace as we take up His path towards His purity.

In the same way that Nehemiah and his team confessed their sins and then entered into a new Covenant with the Lord, we are calling ---over a forty day purification time with the Holy Spirit---for His people, in all nations, called by His name, to humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways.

In this forty day time of purification we will focus not just on removing an old sin pattern but above all knowing Who our Bridegroom is.  By each day knowing His Name, ending with the Name above all Names, we will begin to grasp Who He is, and will thus begin to see ourselves properly as His Bride.

This purification time will begin on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 and end on Sunday, April 30, 2023 with a Global Day of Repentance.   In one's private prayer closet or in church services that Day, all across His planet,  participants will take time with the Holy Spirit to confess sins, to turn from wicked ways, to repent.

The "effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."  (James 5:16).

We believe that that combined action of humble repentance, all across the globe, will send a powerful prayer which the Lord will hear in heaven.  In His mercy He may then forgive our sins and heal our lands.

His Love for our nations is displayed in 2 Chronicles 7: 13-14: " When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Join us today in this forty day cleansing leading up to the Global Day of Repentance on April 30, 2023.  Each day we will be focusing on the removal of one old sin pattern, to be replaced by His Name and His Word as our path forward towards His holiness.

"The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs to it and is safe and set on high." (Proverbs 18: 10).   "Your word is a lamp to my feet.  And a light to my path."  Psalm 119:105

And please review, and as the Lord leads, sign the new Covenant.  [attached].   In that Covenant, we confess that we all fall short of the glory of God, have not fully followed His word, and placed Him first in our lives, and yet He loves us.  We return fully to His Authority (Matthew 28:18), and, like Nehemiah, submit fully to Him, on behalf of ourselves, our families, and our nations.

**********

April 30 has special significance to the United States of America. On that day in 1789 the first President, George Washington, took the oath of office, adding "so help me God."  That statement created a deep spiritual link to the Lord's plan for the nation which was further emphasized as the President in his inaugural speech called for the nation to protect the "sacred fire of liberty."

April 30 in 1863 was then the date of one of three days of "Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer" called for by Congress and President Lincoln during the Civil War, helping end that horrific conflict.

April 30, 1974 was the Day approved by the United States Senate to address spiritually the Watergate scandal, using President Lincoln's 1863 "Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer" language.  The House of Representatives failed to support that Resolution, and the day was not then held.  A request has been made for the House to do so this year, 2023.

April 30 always precedes the first Thursday in the month of May, a day set by Congress for a national day of prayer.  Thus repentance precedes prayer.

May this April 30, 2023 become a renewal of the "so help me God" declaration of President Washington.  May it establish the "sacred fire of liberty" in many hearts and nations.

Global Time of Repentance

Exodus 34:6 says, “The LORD passed before him [Moses] and proclaimed,
‘The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.’”

The New Covenant with God

The idea of covenant is central to the gospel. At the Last Supper, Jesus took of the bread and wine being served and said, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood” (Luke 22:20).

This new covenant, based on the blood sacrifice of Jesus, fulfills the previous covenants God had made with Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, the nation of Israel, and King David. It was necessary because Israel had broken their previous covenant. (see Jeremiah 31:31–34).

God’s covenant requires faithfulness

Because God is a covenant-making, covenant-keeping person, faithfulness is of ultimate importance to him. He is absolutely faithful, and he expects his covenant partners to be faithful. He is absolutely truthful and expects his covenant partners to be truthful.

The requirements of people in covenant with God

Covenants make requirements of both parties. God has graciously made many promises to us, and in turn he requires that we respond obediently to him in particular ways. The old Mosaic covenant with Israel required that they keep various laws regarding food, sacrifices and ceremonies in the Temple, and the observing of holy days. In the New Covenant, those requirements no longer apply.

Here is what God requires of those who enter the New Covenant with him.

The Names of God

Jehovah-Rohi: The Lord My Shepherd
Jehovah-Jireh: The Lord Shall Provide
Jehovah-Rapha: The Lord Who Heals
Jehovah-Nissi: The Lord Is My Banner
Jehovah-M'Kaddesh: The Lord Who Sanctifies
Jehovah-Shalom: The Lord Who Is Peace
Jehovah-Tsidkenu: The Lord Who Is Righteous
Jehovah-Shammah: The Lord Who Is There

“Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts. - Malachi 3:1
